Company Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) Awards scheme

To recognise team efforts and performance, in-line with corporate responsibilities values, Mace have introduced a new CCS internal award scheme, which has been developed on the following basis:

  • CCS scores are reviewed each quarter along with the CCS average scores for all projects in each Division;
  • An award is given to the project with the biggest differential between its division’s average and the score achieved;
  • The award consists of a £1,000 cheque from the Mace Foundation to be donated to the winning project each quarter (total of £4,000 per year);
  • The winning project decides which charity to support with the £1,000 donation. This way the project can make a contribution to an organisation close to the site, as long as it is in-line with the charitable objectives of the Mace Foundation (no religious, animal, political and conflict resolution charities).

This initiative helps to create a positive impression by promoting registration with the Scheme and ensuring that all members of the workforce understand the aims of the Code of Considerate Practice and the requirements that need to be met in order to be a considerate constructor.
