Complaint reporting for local businesses

Company and site contact details should be provided and a complaints log should be organised and monitored to ensure that all complaints are appropriately dealt with.

The considerate process for registering complaints combined with the extent to which complaints were prevented, was best practice on the Arnhemseweg Parallel Structure Phase 3 project in The Netherlands.

Prior to construction work starting, the site manager created a list detailing the impact of the work on local businesses.

At the bottom of their website they provided an opportunity for local businesses to quickly and easily report a complaint.

This complaint was then sent directly to the environment and community liaison managers, to take action.
