Concrete Wash Out

On our Cornbrook Project, we have implemented a concrete washout system to prevent the discharge of pollutants entering local water sources. A designated concrete washout area has been established, whereby environmental training has been delivered to all operatives to ensure the process is managed efficiently.

Using a specific method, having the final concrete wagon taken away by pumping the previous washouts throughout the day will have a positive impact for the following:

  • Help prevent wastage on site.
  • Prevents spillage of overflowing washout areas.
  • Minimises environmental footprint.

This is a method we are using throughout the duration of our project and hope to implement this on future projects.
