Concrete Washout System

Due to the increase in the requirement of concrete deliveries throughout the day for our secondary lining works, it was noted that the existing washout process would have difficulty meeting the requirements expected with increased deliveries.

The site team researched the most feasible process that we could adapt which is the water maiden/ siltdoctor concrete washout system.

The washout process pumps the concrete washout water from the initial treatment tank, through a hydrocyclone (removing solids) into a second treatment tank where the pH is lowered and any remaining solids removed.

As a result of the treatment in the second tank, the grade of water is high enough to allow for discharge thus cost savings can be made.
