Conquip Water Reuse System

Managing water usage on site is a key aspect of overall sustainability performance.

To help with this at Barking Riverside Extension we introduced the Conquip System which provides an effective solution for water re-use. The system enables the reuse of concrete water from the washing out of concrete trucks, concrete pumps and concrete skips.

On a project where we estimate the use of approximately 57,000m3 of concrete, requiring over 7,000 concrete lorry deliveries to site, this water reuse system has enabled us to reduce our overall water consumption considerably.

Based on conservative calculations, and an assumption that each lorry requires at least 10L of water to wash out, we forecast a water saving of approximately 70,000L during the lifetime of the project.
