Considerate Supply Chain

Some contractors have taken the initiative of endorsing their commitment to the Scheme by promoting the Code of Considerate Practice.

Examples of how they have promoted the Scheme Code include:

  • The contractor made it a requirement of their supply chain that if they wished to be considered for future projects they would have to become a registered company with the Scheme;
  • The site invited its local trade contractors and suppliers to submit entries for ‘Considerate Supply Chain Awards’ which cover Environmental Innovation, Excellence in Occupation, Health and Safety and ‘Most Considerate Supply Chain Company’;
  • The contractor offered to subsidise the first year’s subscription to the Company Registration scheme, for all trade contractors on the project.
