Constructionarium

Constructionarium is a hands-on construction experience for students studying courses in the built environment. There are two sites offering 6-day field courses in Bircham Newton, Norfolk, England and Blackridge, West Lothian, Scotland.

Students who attend have the opportunity to construct scaled down versions of bridges, buildings, dams and other engineering projects from around the world. These projects include the Gherkin, Kingsgate Footbridge and Barcelona Tower.

Constructionarium links universities with contractors and consultants to help students apply their knowledge in a practical environment. This allows the industry to get involved with students’ training, providing the next generation of construction workers with hands-on experience and developing the industry’s future talent.
