Contributing to local businesses

Sites should embrace the project as an opportunity to leave a positive lasting impression within the community.

Giving back to and supporting the local community, helps to promote the considerate nature and the positive image of the industry.

Below is an example of how sites can contribute to local businesses:

  • Employees spending money in local shops placed their receipts in a collection box and a monthly prize draw was awarded to one receipt picked from the box;
  • This also enabled the company to monitor how much was contributed to the local community.
