Construction dust includes a number of different types of dusts that are commonly generated on construction sites. They can be dirty and cause nuisance, but can also be seriously damaging to health, sometimes with long-term implications.

Construction workers have a particularly high risk of developing health problems as a result of prolonged exposure to high levels of dust. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) estimate that more than 500 construction workers a year are believed to die from exposure to silica dust.

Avondale Construction Ltd has introduced the new MaxVac DV120 M-Class Wheelie Bin Vacuum to all of its sites. The vacuum is one of the faster ways to clean up construction dust, having both wet and dry capabilities of up to 120 litres. The 120w motor has a powerful suction and uses a cartridge filter type which is easy to install, remove and clean when full.

The MaxVac Dura DV-120-MB has been designed with large clean up operations in mind as well as the practicality of having a vacuum that is easy to empty into waste processing plants where used. As well as being an excellent example of best practice for cleaning construction dust, floods and spillages are amongst many of its uses.
