Coronavirus Mask Bins

On this project, the contractor has introduced external disposable flip top coronavirus mask bins outside of the welfare units to the compound hoarding.

This has been implemented to stop the workforce dispensing their old worn masks inside the canteens, drying rooms or offices as there is a need to isolate undetected infected germs within the workplace.

The bins are always double bagged they then get tied sealed and disposed of 3 times per day into the skip in the compound waste area.

This example of best practice is just one way that projects can work to tackle the virus and reduce the spread. For full guidance and the latest Government advice read the Construction Leadership Council’s Site Operating Procedures.

Thank you for publishing this idea,

Hopefully it will get populated across the construction industry in trying to beat the Corona 19 virus.

We all need to be protected ourselves and others.
