Coronavirus Site Welfare Safety Measures

In response to the coronavirus new site safety control measures have been put in place by the site team to protect the workforce.

These measures included:

  • All non-essential staff are to work from home
  • Resource levels are monitored daily against welfare capacity
  • Staggered start and break times
  • Daily activity briefings have been split and are held outside with all operatives keeping 2m distance
  • Walkways and offices are marked with social distancing guides
  • A one way system has been implemented throughout the welfare cabins
  • All activities and safe systems of work have been reviewed with new coronavirus specific control measure being introduced
  • Hand sanitiser and disinfectant wipes are readily available
  • Additional cleaning resources are present throughout the working day and focus on areas of high contact points, post break and end of shift cleaning
This example of best practice is just one way that projects can work to tackle the virus and reduce the spread. For full guidance and the latest Government advice read the Construction Leadership Council’s Site Operating Procedures.
