Coronavirus Testing for the Workforce

In response to the rise in seemingly symptom-less people testing positive for the virus and as a way to get more of these people tested to help combat the spread of this new variant, on this project they are rolling out coronavirus testing to everyone onsite.

In order to try to look after their workforce, the decision has been taken to put in place a ‘free to user’ testing set up on site, where qualified healthcare practitioners carry out the testing with over 700 tests being completed so far.

Following on from this they will test a sample of the site weekly and will adapt their testing as required.

This example of best practice is just one way that projects can work to tackle the virus and reduce the spread. For full guidance and the latest Government advice read the Construction Leadership Council’s Site Operating Procedures.
