Amid the current COVID-19 outbreak, we realise that it is essential that whilst the construction on our project continues, we must do everything we can to protect the health of our workforce and their families whilst they continue to work safely.
On our Sir Robert McAlpine Battersea Phase 3A site, we are working with paramedics to carry out daily temperature tests for all of our workforce. Any operative or staff member with a temperature of over 37.8 degrees Celsius is to be sent home and given information about how to self-isolate to best protect their families and others around them. Their name and company will also be taken so that we can follow up on their condition and health. We hope that by carrying out these tests everyday that we can help safeguard our workforce from being infected with COVID-19 and help to slow the spread of the virus.
In addition to temperature testing, we have also put various other protective measures in place. We have installed additional hand sanitisers at our biometric scanners, entrances and elsewhere around the project and our offices. All non-essential meetings have been cancelled and are being made via Skype or other forms of conference call. All other meetings that are essential to works have been limited to five people, and Black Hat meetings may last no longer than 15 minutes.
Whilst works and testing continue on site, where possible, our office-based staff have been asked to work from home and our IT Support Staff have done everything possible to ensure that they can work productively by providing everyone with the equipment they need to do this.
