Crane Record System

Here at the Pontoon Dock site, we constantly try to innovate and improve safety. Our site is between Pontoon Dock DLR station and Thames Barrier Park.

We have to make sure that we are respecting forbidden zones with our two cranes in order to provide the highest safety standards, especially for the park and station users.

We found a communication tool which records the crane movements and improves lift management. This crane record system (ProSITE by SMIE) records the position of the crane hook and can be extracted at any time as a proof of respect of the forbidden zone.

This solution was also formed to answer the requests from Transport for London operating next to our construction site. A weekly report is issued to them to demonstrate that the zoning system combines safety, productivity and profitability.
