Creating a Positive Team Environment

There are loads of different people involved when working in construction, from the contractor to clients, employer agents, architects, engineers, the list goes on.

Although we do not all work for the same company we are here working on the same project working towards the same end result. When you are at a stressful part of the job and complications arise it is easy to pass the blame and forget we are all one team and need to work together.

Higgins site team thought it would be a nice reminder to everyone that we are all a team by creating a ‘Welcome to Site’ banner which is up in the site office. This has the logos of clients involved in the project and those who attend site for regular meetings.

We also wanted to create a friendly welcoming environment for all workers and visitors on site, so the site team also created a banner with a group photo of the whole team. This is placed at the front of the turnstile as you enter onto site and also helps with new starters and visitors on site as they are less nervous when walking into the site office and they also know what the site team look like.
