Cycle Safety and Bike Donations

Our team at Symons House in Leeds recently completed a charity cycle ride from our office in Doncaster to our site in Leeds. Throughout the cycle ride, it was evident to all that participated that the roads were particularly busy and at times unsafe in Leeds city centre. RG Group has three construction sites in the city centre, which can contribute to a lot of traffic.

As part of our project, we have targeted cycle safety and got involved with a primary school very close to one of our sites. The initial idea was to volunteer with a cycle proficiency scheme at the local primary school. However the organisation that runs the proficiency scheme does not work with volunteers.

After making contact with the local school, we have been informed that their Year 6 pupils take part in a cycle proficiency scheme. To help promote this and encourage more pupils to take part, RG Group is donating two bikes with helmets and Hi-Viz vests to the school.

We look forward to working with the school and promoting the importance of cycle safely.
