Cycle safety awareness

It is the responsibility of every construction site to do what they can to ensure the safety of cyclists around the construction site.

There are currently many issues surrounding cycle safety, with the need to raise general standards and reduce injuries and fatalities resulting from accidents between cyclists and construction traffic.

Below is an example of how awareness of cycle safety has been raised:

  • The site prepared its own local accident analysis, which was included in a brochure on (local) cycling issues. This brochure was issued to drivers visiting the site, enhancing their awareness of cyclists and cycling around the inner city site.
