Cycle to Work Day
Cycle to Work day is coordinated annually by Cyclescheme
This is a national event aiming to encourage everyone to take to two wheels and cycle to work for at least one day to promote active travel and healthy living.
To support Cycle to Work day on your site, you could do the following:
- Encourage operatives to cycle to work;
- Use posters to highlight the events as well as making sure operatives are aware;
- Pledge your support to Cycle to Work Day and ensure your colleagues are making the most of their commute
- Organise mobile cycle mechanics to visit their workplace on a regular basis;
- Offer staff free cycle training and invest in facilities such as lockers, showers and cycle storage.
Cycle to Work day took place on 3 July in 2025.
