Roadbridge have begun a process of installing 5,000 watt inverters in our new company vans during fit out.
This additional installation enables a small bank of batteries to be powered up while the van is in motion and this power can then be used to boil a kettle, run a skill saw or grinder, etc.
The inverter battery is isolated from the main battery so will not run down the main battery of the van.
This initiative removes the need for site personnel to carry a generator in their van for these tasks.
As a result, this also removes hazards such as manual handling, storage and use of diesel in the van, as well as freeing up space in the van.
