Delivery and traffic information for delivery drivers

Delivery drivers should be kept up to date with relevant information on the site they are attending.

Specific localised issues should be identified and communicated to delivery drivers, to ensure the safety of pedestrians and cyclists within the community.

Below is an example of how delivery and traffic information for drivers was made clear:

  • During the transformation of a University building into a Hotel, a poster detailing the traffic and parking situation in the area was put up on the site entrance gate;
  • The poster also stated where the suitable vehicle holding areas were located;
  • This was in addition to the directions given in advance to suppliers.
