Digital Earthworks Platform
This contractor developed, implemented and communicated ‘DIGGER’, a digital earthworks platform, integrating multiple sources of data into a unique platform.
The analysis of the data provided (via designed dashboards) is given to the teams in order to improve machinery idle times (from 31% to 20%), reduce standing time, improve the cycle times and a significant reduction of the fuel consumptions, positively contributing to reduce the carbon footprint target in line with their sustainability strategy.
The creation of the earthworks control room also supported the roll out of this strategy, showing the good work being done to date and promoting the shared learning across the different projects and other Main Works Civils Contractors.
