Discussing the Issue of Racism with the Workforce

The site held a virtual meeting attended by over 150 staff to discuss racism following on the momentum created by the Black Lives Matter movement.

The purpose was to educate people regarding the issues around race and to provide the psychological safety to make honest mistakes when talking about race and to learn from them.

It was facilitated by the EDI Manager and attended by the all the Senior Management Team demonstrating the Joint Venture’s commitment to taking the issue of racism seriously.

To avoid the perception of it being seen as a one-off, it is being followed by other events and communications, including a focus on unconscious bias.
