E-Torch Roofing System

The timber frame extension to the existing school was chosen by the contractor as a pilot project for the introduction of new ‘flame free technology’ using the E-torch Max, that works in conjunction with Bauders self-adhesive system.

Only using hot air, the subcontractor quickly adapted their skills into using hot air for the entire installation process.

As with any timber frame building the risk of fire is of paramount concern, and this combining the need to drive down emissions. With the risk of fire, all but eliminated as the speed of the E-torch Max in drying and the lap fusing processes, the installation proceeded at a quick pace.

Using this system created zero emissions and used 20% of the energy compared with traditional propane methods.
