Effective Communication on Site: Text messaging Service

Effective communication is essential to ensure a safe site.

Everyone working on the project should be kept up to date and any changes, risks or hazards should be made clear.

This will help to ensure that everyone is fully aware of any potential site dangers and allows individuals to best prepare and safeguard their own wellbeing.

Below is a simple but effective method adopted to ensure effective communication on site:

  • A text messaging service was introduced to better circulate information to site supervisors, with regards to changes taking place on the project;
  • This was linked to the Aurora turnstile entry system, which had the facility to provide operatives specific relevant information as they accessed the work area.
