Effectively Managing PPE Waste

This project has been looking into ways they can effectively manage PPE Waste.

They have taken forward two approaches which are:

Providing bins across the site compounds for used PPE. This PPE is then transferred to a secure destruction and recycling service for all types of PPE to create Refuse Derived Fuel (RFD) for power generation.
Trialling a service, provided by Staysafe PPE Ltd. They collect used PPE and then sanitise, inspect and where necessary repair it, before returning reusable PPE to our project.
