Efficient waste management and recycling

For this particular project, Harmonix Construction utilised ‘intelligent’ machinery and methods of ground stabilisation in order to recycle and reuse large volumes of soil that would otherwise be classified as waste and removed from site.

The existing ground on site went through a process of treatment with lime and cement, and turned into a usable material. This saved a large amount of machine movements, and haulage coming and going from site.

During this progress, the intelligent bulldozers and 360 degree excavators were uploaded with 3D models of the site. This means that each piece of kit employs the use of GPS systems and drastically reduces the amount of time and labour required to carry out these works, when compared to more traditional methods.

All this resulted in a much greener project and reduced the impact to our neighbours, due to significantly decreased amount of traffic.
