Electric Scooter Charging and Secure Parking Facilities

The location of this project is in an existing business park that is approximately a 15-20min walk from the nearest bus stop and further from the nearest train station.

This had led to additional cars being driven to site as bringing bicycles was proving problematic for some operatives. Others who were travelling longer distances found that the range of their electric scooter wasn’t sufficient.

To address this as part of the welfare set up a dedicated secure bicycle parking area has been provided. A suggestion was received from an operative that a power socket would be useful for charging.

As this was a great idea, the contractor installed 12 power points which has led to a large increase in electric scooters being used and a reduction in the use of car.
