Electric Wheelbarrows

Recently on one of our sites, operatives were challenged by the difficulties in renovating a historic Grade II listed building in London City Centre.

The project had various environmental requirements that needed to be met, such as noise restrictions and air quality standards. Nevertheless one of the most challenging adversities was the size of the site, which required operatives to cover large areas across multiple levels on daily basis.

To overcome these issues, the site team decided to invest in electric wheelbarrows. The selected product resulted in no emissions and low noise when operated, making it a perfect solution for indoor use as well. The electric wheelbarrows proved to be a useful tool in carrying heavy loads across site, greatly improving productivity of the works and reducing manual handling. They are also configured to operate with no handlebar vibration, reducing the risk of HAVS.

The use of this equipment was a success from both environmental and health and safety standpoints and operatives were delighted with results.
