Electronic Screed Pump

As part of the site’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and disruption to its neighbours following the hand over of phases that bordered current working areas, the site team began to investigate what could be done to reduce the site’s impact on the environment.

An area identified was the use of plant on site. Alternatives for the traditional plant were looked into and the use of screed pumps was discussed and identified as an area that could be improved upon.

The BMS E63 electric screed pump was identified as something that could assist the site to reduce its impact on the environment. The pump is 30kW and does not produce any exhaust pollution or CO² emissions. The noise pollution is reduced to half of that of a diesel machine.
