Safety procedures and protocols are crucial in reducing the risk of hazards as well as managing an emergency situation if one occurs.

The below example shows how one site kept its emergency readiness to a high level:

As part of emergency contingency arrangements for the safe use of a Mast Climbers on-site, the Site Manager has designed, built and is piloting the use of a lockable ‘Emergency Response & Incident Strong Box’ equipped with a fire extinguisher, air horn and first aid kit;
The ‘strong box’ box has been constructed in lightweight material, bright red in appearance, and securely anchored to the Master Climber Work Platform Cradle Chassis, providing trained and competent personnel with easy access to the incident response equipment in the event of emergencies.
