This contractor have created a new mental health initiative to encourages their workers to take a walk in the local park during their breaks with a slogan of “There is no WiFi in the park but we promise you will find a better connection”.

It has been scientifically proven that a walk in the park lowers the stress level, improves mental health, and can boost your immune system.

They have created a local guide for each of their sites on the local parks where the workers can walk to during their breaks and grab a coffee, freshly made juice, or a healthy alternative lunch in a local café.

This is particularly helpful for those that may not be familiar with their surroundings and unsure where their local park, shops, café might be and how long it would take them to walk there. This guide is available to the workers as well as subcontractors and includes a map and a list of walks and facilities along the way to the park with walking time included.
