Engineering ‘Have a Go’ Activity

A group of Year 10 and 11 students who are interested in construction as a future career visited the Everards Brewery site in Leicester.

As well as a presentation about the site, a careers talk, a site tour and a Q&A, we provided a ‘Have a Go’ activity.

Two of our site engineers led a session on setting out, including EDM (Electromagnetic Distance Measurement). Each student got to have a go and asked the engineers questions about their roles and how they got into the industry.

The students and staff all found it incredibly useful and interactive.
