Ensuring everyone understands their role on site using ‘project information cards’

Everyone on site should understand their role and how this fits in with the overall project.

This encourages better working practices and results, as well as a building a team spirit on site.

One site achieved this by handing out an operative card after each induction:

  • A project information card was produced;
  • The card was plastic and credit card sized and had 6 QR codes printed on it. Each of these codes gave access to specific sources of information;
  • Some of this information was within a secure area so that card also had a password and login shown on it;
  • Within the folders was a selection of site drawings, site rules, layout plan, project team information and emergency information;
  • This information could be easily changed and updated;
  • There was also a QR link to the Facebook page.
