Ensuring high visibility of banksmen

High levels of visibility are essential to ensure the wellbeing and safety of your workforce.

If machinery and individuals are easier to see and identify, incidents surrounding visibility issues are less likely to occur.

A number of sites have achieved this by introducing the following provision for banksmen operating at night:

  • Battery powered strip lights that power up for five nights in a row, were fixed to hi-vis vests over the shoulders:
  • This ensured that banksmen were not just visible when external lights were reflected off their PPE, but at all times, in all circumstances.
