Ensuring the safety of employees: ID cards

Finding new methods to ensure the safety of your workforce is essential.

Employers should have an organised system to manage the number of operatives on site.

They should also gather important personal information including medical details and make sure this information is up to date and easily accessible.

Below is an example of how a site used ID cards to store this information:

  • The site manager introduced QR codes on the reverse of ID cards, which included personal, medical and certificates held;
  • The codes could be read by the management teams on site smart phone or iPad app.
