Environmental Alert Action Process

The Mace team at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium Development have created an Environmental Alert Action Process to ensure compliance with their Section 61 agreement and to reduce environmental nuisance to the surrounding population.

This process utilises the environmental boundary monitors which record noise and dust levels over an hourly and 15 minute period respectively. Trigger levels are set up (well below the action levels) to ensure the project does not exceed agreed limits with the local council.

When a trigger level is exceeded, this sends an email and text to a list of appointed people in the project team, who are then tasked with investigating this exceedance to ensure that the environmental nuisance is mitigated before it exceeds the agreed limits and potentially impacts the local residents and/or workers on site.

This has ensured the site are keeping to their section 61 agreement and minimising environmental nuisance and reducing complaints to the project.
