Environmental Pocket Guide

The Environmental Team published an Environmental Pocket Guide that is issued to all of the operational staff. Its purpose is to raise awareness of key environmental issues onsite, building on Keltbray’s internal onsite environmental awareness training course by providing an easily accessible and pocket-able point of reference that is relevant to all of the project’s operations.

The pocket guide covers all the key aspects of environmental management onsite including energy use, carbon, water, waste management, pollution prevention, onsite noise dust and vibration management, protected and endangered species, ground contamination and sustainable materials.

The waste section of the pocket guide includes all the most commonly used SIC and EWC codes, which the Traffic Marshall’s at the Bermondsey Campus project have found particularly useful to reference when they are carrying out their duties completing waste transfer notes.

It has links on the back cover of the pocket guide that points to further internal guidance documents and tool box talks on the subjects so that if more guidance is required than the user is pointed in the right direction to get further information.

With sustainability in mind the pocket guide is also available digitally through Keltbray’s intranet mobile or desktop app or for non-direct staff via email PDF.
