EnviroPad

The EnviroPad is a lightweight, durable and innovative spill/drip hydrocarbon retention pad, preventing oil based pollutants from entering the environment.

Following a successful demonstration of the polymer used in EnviroPads, the A6MARR team have trialled them on site. The polymer traps hydrocarbons within the pad and coverts it to a rubber mass, letting rainwater pass through the pad. Once the pad is life expired, it is disposed as hazardous waste.

The pads are available in three different sizes (small/medium/large). Each size can encapsulate different volumes of hydrocarbon. The photo below shows a small pad under a generator that is capable of absorbing 3 litres of drips or minor spills. Larger pads can be used beneath refuelling points.

Benefits:

  • More compact and lighter making it easier to transport and store
  • Easy to use with instructions fitted to each pad, reminding users that it should be disposed as hazardous waste
  • Eliminates the necessity of a drip tray and the potential to further spill
  • Allows uncontaminated water to freely drain away
  • Cleaner and less messy to dispose, as the pads don’t leak compared to other absorbent materials
  • Manufactured in the UK
