EPS Cutting Box

The onsite cutting and shaping of EPS board can result in lightweight polystyrene beads dropping on the floor and being blown around in windy conditions, this can result in a build up of these beads in flowerbeds and rainwater gullies, for example. The waste can build up quickly and scatter around a large area due to its lightweight nature making clean ups difficult and costly.

The United Living site team have designed and made a lightweight and mobile box from reclaimed site materials to act as a stable base to cut the EPS boards on, which also collects the waste at the same time. As the waste falls directly into the collection box it remains clean and dry which helps with waste transfer and the recycling process.

These boxes can be made to suit any size depending on the location and amount of waste being generated and are very quick and easy to make providing a simple and cost effective way of managing this waste stream.
