Fatigue Reduction Technology

Workplace operative comfort is a high priority for Westleigh, this is coupled with safety as it can affect tiredness during long process activities.

Our sister company Westframe, who provide all our timber frame requirements, have recently improved and added to the measures taken to ensure our workforce are comfortable at work.

All work stations at the factory have benefited from the installation of anti-fatigue matting to the benefit of the operatives. Prolonged standing on hard surfaces can lead to circulatory problems as well as physical fatigue including pain in the feet, legs and back, neck and shoulders.

A recent study by Loughborough University confirms that anti-Fatigue mats can have a significant, beneficial impact on the health of workers who must stand for long periods of time.

Reducing fatigue and physical tiredness also has a direct result on operator safety, coupled with correct breaks and working conditions, these mats are one way we look to ensure the wellbeing of our workforce.
