FHOSS Cast Projectors for Pedestrian Safety

When considering improving existing signage to this area, the contractor went to market and found that there was nothing available that suited their needs.

Therefore they searched for a solution provider and worked closely with FHOSS to come up with an effective solution. This is a custom solution that will be shared with other projects once in a fully marketable solution.

Due to the sites location and the footfall experienced under the scaffold protection gantry, they wanted to increase pedestrian awareness due to increased traffic movements caused from the site. They worked alongside FHOSS to create a bespoke projection that is cast onto the floor to advise they should look both ways.

This initiative gives pedestrians a warning for the public that will be projected onto the pavement in front of where they’re walking to give a visual prompt of vehicle hazards ahead. Observations of pedestrian behavior at this point has shown that it draws peoples attention in as it is something that they haven’t seen before resulting in them taking more care for vehicular movement in this areas.
