Fire Brigade Real Life Rescue

An element of the works included within the Tatling End Housing Project development was the demolition of existing dwellings and Gerrards Cross Police Station. Following Willmott Dixon taking possession of the site, an opportunity to help the local fire brigade arose.

Prior to the demolition of existing dwellings, the fire brigade were offered the opportunity to carry out ‘real life rescue training’. This entailed placing dummies inside the properties and filling with smoke. The fire brigade then proceeded with their training, scaling the buildings and breaking through doors and walls to retrieve their ‘casualty’.

This was greatly appreciated by the fire brigade as they had no training facility close by that was available to be demolished, in the case of rescue emergency training.
