Fire Rated Temporary Edge Protection System

This contractor has implemented fire rated temporary edge protection called ‘Drakon’ which is independently tested and certified for 120 minutes, ensuring protection for their workers and the building during construction.

The system was tested for up to 190-minutes and up to 1100 degrees, exceeding certification standards.

The Drakon has been bi-directionally tested and is intended for use covering construction voids including lift shafts, riser cupboards, and any other temporary working voids within the site/fire plan.

This provides much greater protection for the workforce and building if a fire was to occur.
