First aid call points

Construction sites should constantly seek to improve their health and safety protocols.

Construction work accompanies a high occupational risk to all operatives, for this reason it is vital that all health and safety protocols are effectively implemented, updated and communicated to all members of the workforce.

Below is an example of how sites have updated their safety protocols to improve their staffs responsiveness to incidents:

  • The facility for an emergency first aid call point was added onto the wireless fire alarm points around site;
  • The first aid call point had a separate and distinctive ring to differentiate from the fire alarm.

This helped to ensure that everyone on site was alerted to an incident, enabling a faster and more efficient response, to provide the best care to the workforce.
