First Aid for Cyclists

As we are all aware cycling to work improves our fitness levels, lowers our blood pressure, boosts energy, builds muscle, and improves co-ordination. For some, cycling to work is a fitness benefit, but also a worry when tackling some of the busy roads around London.

For staff on our project who cycle and drive to work we have requested that they all download the St John’s Ambulance app ‘First aid for cyclists’ so they will have to hand a step by step guide on what to do should they be involved in an accident whilst cycling or spot an injured cyclist.

We look to encourage staff to cycle to work and feel the app helps to give them more confidence when doing so.

We have had a high increase in people cycling to work with the hot weather so are more than ever keen that they have the necessary support in place when coming to and from work.
