Force 8 Respirators
We have recently introduced a ban on any of our employed staff from using the throw away dust masks. You only get one pair of lungs, so why risk it?
We now only use Force 8 masks as a minimum. This will be rolled out to all subcontractors onsite shortly. It is easy to buy the cheap throw away dusk masks, but it is putting workers’ health at risk.
Obviously, the amount of dust needs reducing using other means in the first place, but to be 100% safe, we need to be using something better then disposable dusk masks.
Feedback from operatives has been positive. They are also fitted with a self-check to make sure they are fitted correctly.
