Formwork System

Utilisation of Monotub DD system of formwork for circular concrete columns to protect the exposed columns with recycled polyethylene produced by Arbloc allowing the formation of different columns of different diameters and shapes, according to the specifications of the project.

The main characteristics of this polyethylene material are its high mechanical strength and water resistance.

The added protection of formwork reduces damage whilst curing and during the construction phase of the project prior to handover.

Savings in labour are realised by the reduction in marking from over-pour/grout staining to columns, the reduction in damage to the exposed concrete columns and resultant ‘making good’ of this as well as removing the responsibility of re-sanding down after the columns are exposed; which is typically a labour intensive and timely process.

Reduction in operatives exposures to airborne dust are also realised, adding another occupational health benefit.

These polyethylene and cardboard materials are readily recyclable.
