‘Ensuring that the external appearance of sites enhances the image of the industry’ and ‘contributing to and supporting the local community and economy’ are key areas in the Scheme’s Code.
On our sites we have used our hoardings as a way to meet both areas of the Code combining appearance and community.
On all our sites with timber hoardings there are large clear spaces, which we offer up, free of charge to local shops and businesses to place their advertising.
This helps us play our part within the local community through their local businesses, whilst helping the general public take more note of businesses which may be hidden or obscured from view by the site hoardings.
