As part of our policy of recycling and re-using prior to skipping on sites, at the start of projects we liaise with a lot of local shops and businesses in the local area.
During these conversations we explain the waste that gets generated from sites and how we go about recycling and re-using many of the products.
This provides an insight on how to go about this method of thinking in their line of industry but also highlights any occurrences where construction site waste could become of use to their business or vice versa.
On the New Bridewell Site in Bristol we have given many pallets to a number of local shops.
In particular a shop “Phoenix Café, Shop and Arts Hub” have taken a lot of pallets and other materials to produce works of art for sale and decoration of the café as shown in the image above.
We have also donated a large amount of plastic sheeting, pallets and timber to other local shops.
