Green Hoarding at Site Entrance

Gate 4 is the entrance/ exit for all operatives working on the Gabriel Square Project. This gate is also located on a closed road, surrounded by residential houses.

Thinking about the appearance of the building site and wanting to be more environmental friendly we have decided to urban green the entrance to the gate.

Flower pods have been installed on the hoarding and other plants have been potted around the site offices.

Installing green hoardings in and around the construction building site is resulting in many benefits to the environment including:

  • Improved air quality;
  • Noise reduction;
  • Improved aesthetics;
  • Improves company image;
  • Increase in general public wellbeing;
  • Prevention of vandalism and graffiti;
  • Harvesting and re-using water.

Plants provide uplifting and calming effect on people whilst having a positive impact on stress-related illnesses.

Studies have also shown that simply having a view of greenery increases workplace productivity.
